I am often asked if there is a common theme to be found in all
of my collections. The answer is absolutely! I take a common approach
to jewelry creation whether I am working in silver and CZ or gold
and diamond. This approach involves three themes, which are each
best represented by a single question:
Emotion
How will a woman feel when she puts on a piece of my jewelry?
Every woman is uniquely individual…with her own touch of
flair. Or to put it another way, each woman has a bit of celebrity
in her. In today’s world we are surrounded by outer beauty.
Pick up any fashion magazine and you’ll see pages and pages
of beautiful celebrities and models wearing dazzling gems. Many
times the theme of the ad is “you too can look like this.”
My approach is to bring out the inner beauty of a woman by making
her feel good on the inside first. That is why my tagline is “Jewelry
for the celebrity in you!”
Quality
Will a woman be proud to wear my creation? When you select a piece
of Charles Winston jewelry you are getting a combination of design,
material and craftsmanship. I use top quality, precision cut stones
to bring the piece to life…regardless of whether the stone
is CZ or diamond. I rhodium plate the white metal, be it sterling
silver or white gold, for protection and shine. And finally I
use expert jewelers to physically construct the piece.
Value Ratio
Will a woman feel smart purchasing from my collections? To be
able to answer this question in the positive, I know I have to
provide the market’s best combination of materials, design
and craftsmanship for the consumers’ money. I call this
my value ratio. In my CZ work I want to go all out to provide
a magnificent look. I could make my entire collection for less
money but it wouldn’t feel right. In diamonds it is important
to use the right quality for the right piece. Many designs using
the very best diamonds would simply be overkill, in other words,
you would be overpaying for the look. I try to balance the diamond
quality with the overall look to bring you the best value for
your money.
Charles Winston Collections™
This is my signature CZ collection of rhodium plated sterling silver,
set with clear and color CZ, as well as simulated and created gemstones.
I first launched this line on ShopNBC almost a decade ago, and today
it is better than ever. You can also find
this collection in better department and specialty stores, select
fine jewelers, specialty websites, and in boutique and gift shops
around the country.
Charles Winston Couture™
This is my newest collection and consists of diamonds set in 14k
gold. I am often asked why I now work in diamond and gold when I
was so successful with CZ and silver. The answer is I don’t
have to give up one to create the other. When I looked around the
marketplace about a year ago I realized that there was no brand
of better fine jewelry based on value, quality and style. So I asked
my team if we could deliver the same emotional content in diamond
jewelry that we do in CZ, without forfeiting the quality and value
ratio. The more we analyzed the market the more we realized that
the consumer is looking for a fine jewelry brand that it can recognize
and trust! In fact, I have often been asked to copy some of my CZ
pieces in genuine diamond because a consumer specifically wants
to buy from me! The Charles Winston CoutureTM™ collection
can currently be found in better
independent jewelers around the country. Ask your local jeweler
if they plan on being a Charles Winston retailer!
Upcoming Collections
I am currently working on two new collections for 2005: diamond
watches and Charles Winston Wedding, a new CZ collection.
Charles Winston Diamond Watches
The diamond watches line will become an integral part of our Charles
Winston Couture Diamond collection focusing on fashionable looks
using just the right amount of diamonds at a spectacular price.
Once again, we believe we have identified a void in the marketplace
and are moving quickly to fill it.
Charles Winston Wedding
Charles Winston Wedding is being created especially for the bride
and her bridal party. I have gotten mail with many requests for
this collection from my fans telling me that when they got married
they had spent all their money on the dress, her groom spent all
his money on her ring, and that as a bride, they wanted spectacular
jewelry, couldn’t afford fine jewelry but absolutely didn’t
want costume jewelry. They have convinced me that a bride also wants
quality and fashion in beautiful jewelry at an affordable price.
They want to feel like celebrities on their Wedding Day! As a result,
Charles Winston Wedding was born. This collection will also include
jewelry for the bridesmaids as well as the mothers-of-the-bride
and groom, and even flower girl jewelry.
